The Trumpet Player of 4th and Spring

I often hear this guy playing his trumpet.



Often the same song "have yourself a merry little christmas" even when its not christmas time. Nice personable guy. I always nod my head whenever I walk passed him.

Writers Strike in the Historic Core

On Wednesday a few days ago, I left my building at about 6:15 am to go to work and saw some writer's holding up their signs walking around 4th St. between Spring and Main.

Anti-War March

An anti-war march passed through the historic core of downtown Los Angeles yesterday.

I was working at my desk, and from a distance I was able to hear the crowd make their way down Broadway. They passed by my building and here are some shots I took from outside my window:

Transient Murals

A few weeks ago the Continental Gallery had an evening of exhibiting anti-war poster art. As a part of the show, temporary murals were being drawn onto a big wall on 4th St with a projector. Each picture lasted about a few minutes. This is what I caught outside my window:
